Get ready to meet John Byrne – trusted Superintended at Caritas Construction! With over 30 years of experience under his “tool” belt, John's journey in the industry started as a laborer pushing wheelbarrows at his father's construction business every summer. But as he took on more challenging tasks, he found his true calling in carpentry and fell head over heels in love with construction.

Drawing inspiration from his childhood curiosity to see how things get put together, John's passion for construction only grew stronger with time. Even after enrolling in college to become a teacher, he couldn't wait to finish his classes and rush off to work part-time as a carpenter's apprentice. Eventually, he realized that construction was his true calling and put teaching behind him to pursue his dream.

Over the years, John has worked with multiple construction companies before finding his home at Caritas Construction. He enjoys collaborating with owners, Jody and Nate; who are also his long-time trusted colleagues having worked with them at previous firms. At Caritas, John is very much valued and is known for leading by example. “John epitomizes The Caritas Way. He is always willing to give of himself and serve others. He brings that spirit to his family, work, and social lives. John & Susan have seven children and he finds the time to be a devoted husband, attentive father, excellent superintendent, athletic director, multi-sport coach, volunteer carpenter, and many other charitable activities. I’m honored to work with John and even more blessed that he’s my friend.” says, Jody Arena, Owner and Principal of Caritas Construction. As an excellent Superintendent, John takes pride in his ability to solve problems and plays a vital role in project relief and organizing efforts. He loves to get his hands dirty and see complex projects come to life.

But John's dedication goes beyond construction. As a doting father of seven children, aged between 8 to 24, he is most passionate about being the best dad he can be. He coaches his children in different sports and loves to involve himself in the community by volunteering as a Handyman and the Volunteer Athletic Director at his local parish.

When he is not at work or with his family, John has a green thumb, tending to his garden and raising chickens. All in all, John is a man with unmeasured passion and dedication for construction and community work, making him a true gem at Caritas Construction!
